The addressable multiple input/output module is used for line-monitored integration of contact detectors in a loop with the Labor Strauss protocol and for controlling external devices via the loop. This means that a wide range of devices such as manual call points, monitoring contacts, fire doors, sirens or solenoid valves can be easily integrated into fire alarm systems with loop technology. The bidirectional communication on the loop allows the outputs to be controlled quickly and the status of the module and the connected detectors to be precisely assessed. An integrated dual isolator separates the loop in the event of a short circuit. This ensures uninterrupted communication with the loop elements outside the faulty loop section. The input/output module has 6-Monitored inputs and 2-Relay outputs with potential-free changeover contact. The inputs are each monitored for wire breaks and short circuits. Additional devices can be activated without line monitoring using the potential-free contacts of the relay outputs. The module has two two-color status LEDs as a summary display for the inputs and outputs. The alarm status of an input is displayed in red, the control status of an output is displayed in green and the fault status is displayed in yellow. The base address of the module can be set in the range from 1 to 240 using the FI750/PU programming unit. In addition, several parameters such as the production date can be read out using the programming unit. Alternatively, the module can be AUTO-addressed in conjunction with a compatible fire alarm control panel. The module is integrated in a plastic surface-mounted housing. Breakout openings are provided on the housing wall for the use of cable glands.
